Yulin, Guangxi News Network, March 25th - (Correspondent Fan Jiahong) On March 18th, the renovation and construction of the 110kV Shikai Station No.1 DC system of Guangxi Yulin Power Supply Bureau of Southern Power Grid was officially completed. This means that the traditional series DC power supply system has successfully solved the problems of low reliability of battery packs, inability to mix old and new batteries, and inability to provide online full capacity nuclear capacity. The power supply reliability and operation efficiency of station DC power supply systems have been greatly improved!



The pilot project for the transformation of parallel power supply at the 110 kV Shikai Station of Yulin Power Supply Bureau is the first pilot project of Guangxi Power Grid Co., Ltd. in the application stage of third-generation parallel DC power supply technology. The successful implementation of parallel DC power supply technology at the 110 kV Shikai Station will actively promote the promotion and application of mature DC power supply technology in Guangxi, achieving a great leap forward in the digital construction process of station power supply.

As a backup power source for the DC system in substations, batteries are of great significance in improving the substation's ability to respond to emergencies, and maintaining the normal and stable operation of batteries is essential. It is understood that the transformation of the 110 kV Shikai Station DC system involves transforming the series type battery pack into a parallel type power supply component. In the daily operation and maintenance of battery packs, nuclear capacity discharge is widely recognized as the most effective means to measure the power supply capacity of batteries. In the past, due to scattered stations and long battery charging and discharging times, conventional on-site nuclear capacity discharge operations were not only cumbersome but also inefficient. In addition, the lack of effective monitoring and early warning methods, manual nuclear capacity and manual monitoring also easily caused a lack of data management. The parallel DC power supply system has replaced the conventional method of "charging machine+series battery pack+battery inspection", achieving intelligent digital management of batteries while ensuring performance and overload capacity no less than that of series batteries.

The nuclear capacity method of parallel DC power supply system is mainly reflected in the remote online nuclear capacity. This function can remotely control the battery for charging and discharging work, making the nuclear capacity work more convenient and effective. In the absence of power outage, battery replacement and online maintenance can also be carried out, greatly reducing the workload of substation maintenance and repair.

More importantly, compared to traditional on-site maintenance methods, the parallel DC power supply system can intelligently operate and maintain batteries through management methods such as internal resistance inspection, nuclear capacity operation, and backup time estimation. It integrates multiple functions such as integrated information monitoring, equipment control management, fault alarm, early warning diagnosis, information query, and message information, allowing maintenance personnel to carry out monitoring and maintenance from afar, achieving a high degree of intelligent autonomy and remote control functions for the entire system. In addition, battery grouping charge and discharge management can extend the overall service life of batteries, thereby improving safety and reliability. Moreover, batteries of different time, brand, and type can be mixed and used, greatly reducing operation and maintenance costs.

At present, the pilot project for the transformation of parallel power sources at the 110 kV Shikai Station has achieved a phased victory. In the next step, Yulin Power Supply Bureau will rely on scientific and technological means, develop new quality productivity according to local conditions, and solidly promote the digital transformation of station power sources, such as the transformation of parallel power sources at 110 kV and below substations and the remote nuclear capacity transformation of communication power sources, contributing a "stable" power source to the safe and stable operation of the power grid.
