SUNGROW Releases 2000V High Voltage Optical Storage System

SUNGROW has released a 2000V high-voltage photovoltaic storage system, and advanced energy storage technology has become a new highland of global industrial competition.



Since the beginning of this year, advanced energy storage technology has become a new highland in global industrial competition. In the industry's view, with the development of the energy storage industry, energy storage systems have been regarded as terminal product links with high technological content, no less than vehicle manufacturing.

SUNGROW, which has ranked first in global energy storage system shipments for eight consecutive years and surpassed Tesla in 2022, is once again leading Chinese energy storage companies in the forefront of globalization as a "technology leader".

At the press conference on March 21st, Li Han, Vice President of SUNGROW Solar Storage Group, said, "From the perspective of system level innovation, it is imperative to increase the number of battery series connections and enhance system voltage."

Compared to the previous 1500V system, the CAPEX and OPEX of the 2000V photovoltaic system of the Sunlight Power can save 4 points/W and 12.5 points/W respectively, resulting in a 0.5% -1% increase in system efficiency and a total life cycle investment savings of 16.5 billion yuan/100GW. The energy storage system saves 4.5 points/W in CAPEX and 7.5 points/W in OPEX, improves system efficiency by 0.4% -0.7%, and saves 12 billion yuan/100GWh in full lifecycle investment.

It is reported that SUNGROW has conducted research and development from three levels: hardware, software, and system. It has overcome key technologies in the 2000V high-voltage system and is actively promoting the formulation of standards in collaboration with the industry. At the same time, it is working with upstream and downstream to jointly define and design product components and system components, and improve the 2000V industry chain.

In July last year, Huaneng Shaanxi and Sunshine Power jointly developed the world's first 2000V high-voltage system, which has been operating steadily in Yulin, Shaanxi until now.
