Gansu Province's installed power generation has exceeded the 90 million kilowatt mark

The reporter learned from State Grid Gansu Provincial Power Company that recently, with the commissioning of projects such as Zhangye Zhongna Jianye 100 MW photovoltaic power station, the installed power capacity of Gansu Province has exceeded 90 million kilowatts, and the installed power capacity of Gansu Province has reached a new level.



Gansu Province is an important energy base in the country. Since the 14th Five Year Plan, the grid connected installed capacity of new energy in Gansu Province has significantly increased, which is the main factor driving the rapid increase in the province's installed capacity. As of now, the installed capacity of new energy in Gansu Province has exceeded 55 million kilowatts, accounting for over 60% of the total installed capacity. The installed capacity of new energy storage has exceeded 3 million kilowatts, and wind and solar power have become the first and second largest power sources in the province.

The relevant person in charge of State Grid Gansu Electric Power Company stated that State Grid Gansu Electric Power Company will base itself on the "main hub" of the Northwest Power Grid, the "main channel" of the West East Power Transmission, and support the construction of a "heavy base" development positioning for the new power system. It will fully leverage the advantages of Gansu's resource endowment, make every effort to create a model of the new power system in Gansu, and actively serve the transformation of Gansu's energy structure and green and low-carbon development. Adhere to innovation driven, build a multi-dimensional and efficient operating system, actively adapt to the situation of large-scale new energy integration, establish a collaborative mechanism for new energy grid connection, continuously improve the efficiency of power grid connection services, and fully serve projects such as wind power and photovoltaic bases, and assist in the construction of a new energy system.
